Megan Campbell Our Manager of the Third Quarter

Today we honored our third Manager of the Quarter for 2014, in recognizing Megan Campbell for all the "extra" things she does over and above doing a great job of running her department here.  Megan is our Housekeeping Director, and as such she takes care of the cleanliness of the hotel's guest rooms and our public spaces.  She also runs the laundry, and makes sure that there is great communication between the Front Desk and the Housekeeping Department.

Here in this first photo you see the surprise on her face as I read the letter (something I traditionally write to the Manager of the Quarter) out loud to the assembled managers when I present this award at the regular managers' meeting.

Megan really appreciated the look of her award, saying the colors in the blown glass were her favorites.  We are happy to make her happy!

As for the things Megan does for us that are "over and above" her regular job description, I thought you would like to know that every year for the past 5 years or so she has designed the logo for our annual Halloween party, and done a spectacular job of it indeed.

In addition, Megan is very adept at space planning, and she has helped us with a number of projects, such as redesigning the layout and use of the space we have for a staff locker room, redesigning the work flow for the front desk renovation (which we have planned for this winter) and she is currently working on a master organization plan for the entire "heart of the hotel" for our storage spaces.

We hope you will join us in congratulating and thanking Megan for all that she does for the benefit of both our hotel guests, and our hotel staff members.  It is such a pleasure having team members who take so much pride in what they do that they go above and beyond their normal work, and give of their talents to the benefit of us all.  THANK YOU, Megan!!
