U. S. Coast Guard Maritime Area Committee Meeting

Recently we had a meeting take place in the Hawthorne Hotel for the Area Maritime Security Committee which was attended by among others,  the Salem Police Chief, Paul Tucker and Salem Mayor Kimberley Driscoll.

We received this lovely thank you email and photos after the meeting wrap-up was completed.  Lindsay is Lindsay Otis, our Senior Catering Sales Manager:

Good Morning Lindsay,

Please accept my belated thank you for your patience and understanding in dealing with the federal government procurement regulations for our meeting last week.  I apologize for all the 'issues' that kept popping up.  Having said all that, I just wanted to pass along my thanks for such a great meeting venue.

I received many positive comments from our attendees about the great venue and how impressed they were.  I was anxious that given the horrible weather a good many of our attendees might be no-shows but the vast majority made it and all had positive thing s to say about the Hawthorne.

This was the first meeting of our group outside the metro-Boston area and I'm happy to say it was a huge success.  The room was perfect, the set up was perfect and the service was also perfect.

I'm sorry that I didn't get a chance that day to chat with you but it was kind of a hectic day for me.

I trust that the payment FINALLY was processed properly by our fiscal experts but if you still have lingering issues please let me know asap!

Once again, thank you very much, the Hawthorne contributed significantly to our meeting being a success.

The 'trophy' held by Capt. O'Connor, chair of the Boston AMSC, is an award for the best AMSC in the country awarded by our headquarters in Washington. Although the 'trophy' says Port of Boston on it, the Port of Boston AMSC committee covers the entire MA coast from the NH border to just south of Plymouth so Salem is a member of the committee.

We do love hearing from our guests, especially when we can make them this happy with our facilities and our services.

I hope we can assist you in planning a meeting, wedding, shower, or other event here at the historic Hawthorne Hotel.  Just give us a call at 978-825-4358.
