Pamplemousse is a gourmet's delight, located just about two blocks from the Hawthorne Hotel down Essex Street, at 185 Essex St. As you can see from their cute sign they have things for your kitchen, along with a nice selection of wines and craft beers, home goods and gifts.
By the way, in case you did not know, Pamplemousse means grapefruit in French. Now that you see their sign, you could probably have figured that out.
One of their specialties are great colorful aprons which we think they must have custom-made. Be sure to check them out.
If you enjoy candies from overseas, Pamplemousse is the place for you. They also have a nice selection of cheeses, and our favorite pickles from Maitland Farms here in Salem, as you can see in the photo below:
