Baby Shower

This past weekend we helped to host a lovely baby shower.  Here is the thank you note we received on Monday morning:

GOOD Morning Sara!!

What a wonderful shower my daughter had yesterday. EVERYTHING was just perfect.  Liz and the entire wait staff were a dream to work with.  The food was amazing.  People were raving.

In fact, many folks said it was better than most weddings they have attended at other locations.

The cupcake cake was perfection!!

Thanks so much for all that you did to make this such a wonderful family memory for all of us.

Here are excerpts from some of the planning emails that went on between the organizer and our catering manager, Sara Norris.

One game is to have guests write some baby advice on paper onesies and clip them with tiny plastic clothespins on a ribbon clothesline.  We will need a small table for the guests to use to write out their advice. Many clients will actually pin items like this against a particular table.

I am having a Tutus and Tiaras theme, so will be having a ‘cake’ made of cupcakes in the shape of a dress complete with tiara.  The other cupcakes (including the gluten free ones I will have the bakery make) can be displayed around the princess dress ‘cake’.  We will need a table for that too. Absolutely. We will have one provided for you.

One game we have is ‘My water Broke’  I have frozen tiny plastic babies in ice cubes, I have plastic cups to put them in all of the guests will get one, and when their ice cube melts and the baby floats free they shout My Water Broke and get a prize.  We thought we’d have the Dads pass them out when the guests have arrive.  Should we bring 3 of our own trays or could they use 3 from the Hotel??
I would recommend bringing your ice cube trays prepared and frozen, and our coordinator will happily place them in the freezer while you set up.

Here you see Dad-to-Be, James, and Mom-to-Be, Stephanie, with the cake table.
I hope you enjoy getting in on a little of the behind-the-scenes activities here at the Hawthorne Hotel.

If you are planning an event and want our help, please call our catering department at 978-825-4358.

Thank you.
