Food Photos -- Tavern on the Green at the Hawthorne Hotel

If you follow this blog, you will already have come to expect regular posts about our Locals' Specials each month, complete with photos I have taken of the special menu items.

We recently had some professional photos taken of our most popular menu items on the regular Tavern menu, and we thought you might like to see some of them, so here they are:

These first two photos are of one my my very favorite sandwiches -- Grilled Portobello Mushroom, on Brie-spread Sourdough toast, grilled onions and grilled tomatoes, and sautéed spinach, served open-faced.  This one is shown with our excellent sweet potato fries.   It is so fresh, healthy and delicious all at the same time!
This next photo is of our Grilled Salmon Salad with goat cheese and roasted red peppers.
This is our Grilled Chicken Club, a three-decker sandwich with lettuce, tomato, bacon and grilled chicken.  This is definitely a menu item for a hearty appetite.
The following photo is of our Nachos -- definitely one of our most popular appetizer items and a great item to share.

This is our Raspberry Chicken Salad with Mandarin Oranges and Raspberry Vinaigrette -- a classic on the Tavern menu and one of our best-selling salads of all time.
Thyme-Roasted Half Chicken is a classic done very well here.  It is offered with a choice of two side dishes.

Our Tavern Penne Pasta with Fresh Asparagus, Chicken and Smoked Mozzarella is outstanding, loaded with fresh tomatoes and fresh basil.
Last but not least is our Warm Arugula Salad with Roasted Cauliflower, Fried Capers and Smoked Salmon.  Again, we have created a healthy yet entirely delicious menu item for your to enjoy.  This is definitely one of my favorite items in the Tavern.

I hope to see you here, in the Tavern, enjoying one of these terrific dishes, or the many other menu items that we offer each and every day.

With many thanks to local photographer, John Andrews, for these great photos.
