Another Talented Hawthorne Team Member

Banquets team member Neil Carlill is no stranger to the world of music. In fact, we think our native of  Ripon, England, might be the only member of the Hawthorne team to have not only a great website, but also a well-detailed, individual Wikipedia page. Neil was the founder of Delicatessen and a member of Lodger, both contracted UK acts which charted in the 1990s. Neil has worked on a number of projects since, recently playing as Harvey Mapcase with bandmates Doug Allen and Matt White.

On August 18, 2014, Harvey Mapcase released its debut album, Dot Kill Dot. Though Neil has worked on many projects over the years, this is the first of his records to be produced 100%      independently under the King Harvey Records label, a freedom that allowed him to combine his passion for music with his passion for birds.

The album cover features a beautiful painting created by artist Junko Suzuki of Portland, OR,    specially for this project, as well as several photographs of rehabilitated birds taken by Shawn    Martin, also of Portland. Neil hopes that the stunning images and excellent package will convince listeners to purchase the hard copy, rather than digital versions available through iTunes and other such services. Half of the proceeds from Dot Kill Dot will go to support Cape Ann Wildlife, where Neil has brought several rescued birds over the years to be cared for by his friend Jodi Swensen.
