Old Burying Point

Yesterday I posted some photos of the Salem Witch Trials Memorial.  Located right next door to that solemn reminder of what transpired in 1692 is one of the oldest graveyards in New England, the Old Burying Point, which dates back to 1637.

While I was taking photos of the memorial next door, I took a few of the cemetery as well, and here they are:

These two places should be on your "don't miss" list when you come to visit Salem.  A bit of good news -- there is no charge to enter either place, and they don't "close" so you can visit whenever you wish.  Just please be respectful of this has solemn ground.

Thank you and I hope to see you here.
