Beauty Takes Many Forms

The most recent special exhibit to open at PEM reflects on "California Design, 1930 - 1965 Living in a Modern Way" and it is very interesting and educational in its approach.  There are more than 250 mid-century design objects included in this unique exhibition.

This show is on through July 6, and you want want to miss it.  Here are some photos of just some of the objects that you will really want to see in person:

Love this packaging from Joseph Magnin's store in San Francisco.  The store is gone now, but they did some really cool things, which I remember from my childhood growing up in S.F.

I hope you will come to see this awesome show for yourself, and learn all about how these particular dates came to bracket this period of time, and what drove the designs of this period.  And of course, I hope to see you here.
