New Website Feature -- Our Virtual Tour

One of the things you can be sure of, the Hawthorne Hotel is always working to make our property better in every way we can.  Most recently this meant the addition of a "Virtual Tour" to our website.

The virtual tour takes the viewer room-by-room through the hotel, but in addition also steps the viewer outside the hotel to see what the environs look like, as well as to several of the most sought after attractions in town. This tour will enable a visitor to literally plan their next trip to Salem all in one place, just by viewing the virtual tour.

We include 360-degree, narrated views of the following on the virtual tour:

PUBLIC AREAS OF THE HOTEL:
Lobby
Nathaniel's
Tavern on the Green
Wedding in the Grand Ballroom

GUEST ROOMS:
Boutique-style Guest Room
Superior Room
Deluxe Room
Bedroom of a Suite
Living Room of a Suite

FUNCTION ROOMS:
Mezzanine
Essex Room
Pickman Room
Sophia's Function Room

OUTSIDE THE HOTEL:
Hawthorne Blvd. Facade of the Hotel and Area
The House of the Seven Gables
Peabody Essex Museum (PEM)
Salem Witch Museum
Witch Trials Memorial
The Friendship
Essex Street viewed from across the street from the Hawthorne Hotel

The tour is even available on smart phones (however the narration portion is not part of the smart phone capability at this point.)

We are already planning to add to this virtual tour this coming summer.  So stay tuned for more to come.  IN the meantime, here is the link so you can see it for yourself:  Virtual Tour of the Hawthorne Hotel

You can use your mouse to move the "camera" around so that you can literally look up to the ceiling or down to the floor or ground, and when you are at a location outside the hotel the map function will show a blue swath that indicates in what direction you are looking.

If you want to refer to this tour at any time, simply look at the top bar of our website, www.HawthorneHotel.com.

I hope you enjoy the tour.
