Holiday Party Planning Cannot Start Too Soon!

We recently hosted a really "fun" holiday party, and we thought you might enjoy learning a little bit about it, including seeing some photos.  Clearly one of our motives is to get you thinking about booking your holiday party for your company, group or family.  Why now, you might ask?  Because now is the time to get the date you really want, and now is the time to just get thinking about it, and start working with one of our talented and professional meeting and event planners.

I recently read an article that said that a good percentage of the relaxation and refreshment that comes from taking a vacation is in the anticipation of the event.  Here at the Hawthorne Hotel we have found that to be true regarding special celebratory events as well.  We know that our employees love thinking about and talking about our holiday party in advance, and giving them the "save the date" information as soon as we can helps them in making sure they will be able to attend.

So why not consider holding a date as soon as possible?





This was a local holiday celebration for a global energy company. The company wanted to celebrate this year with a “Roaring 20's / Great Gatsby” theme. We worked with them regarding their menu selections and creating a casual ballroom feel. They chose to host a cocktail reception, to urge mingling as they even brought in two casino tables (a blackjack table and roulette table.) With the Beantown Swing Orchestra and dancers to teach lessons, it really contributed to their “Roaring 20's” feel. 

Here is the menu they chose, which clearly had something for everyone:

Stationed Hors d’Ouevres
International Assorted Sliced Cheeses with French Baguettes,
Crackers and Flat Breads, Garnished with Seasonal Fresh Fruits and Berries
Mediterranean Station: Artisan Salami Array, Mixed Olives,
Roasted Red and Yellow Peppers, Artichoke Hearts, Hummus,
Basil-Caper Tomatoes, Tapenade, Grilled Pita Chips and Foccacia

Dinner
Passed Hors d’Ouevres
Scallops in Crisp Applewood-Smoked Bacon
Sesame Chicken with Ginger Pineapple Dipping Sauce
Blackened Beef Tenderloin over Pesto Cream Cheese on Crostini
Carving Station
Roast Turkey with Cranberry-Orange Relish and Mayonnaise with Assorted Cocktail Rolls
Slow Roasted Prime Rib of Beef with Chef's Choice of Sauce 
Pasta Station
Rotini Primavera, Penne with Marinara, Tortellini Supreme
Tossed Garden Salad with Fresh Garlic Bread
Chef’s Choice Potato
Chef's Choice Seasonal Vegetables

Dessert Station
Assorted Chef's Desserts
Freshly Brewed Coffee, Tea and Decaffeinated Coffee

Just give us a call at 978-825-4358.  We are available Monday through Saturdays, and can even do evening appointments if need be.  This particular event was handled by Catering Manager Sara Norris, so you can just ask for her if you want to do something like it!
