It's That Time of the Year . . . .

. . . when our thoughts turn toward doing some acts of kindness for our fellow humans.  So it is so nice when one of our business partners includes us in such a program as this one.

Every year for the past several years, the Peabody Essex Museum has invited us to participate in their "Cup for Kindness" program.  Here are the details, directly from their Guest Service

I am pleased to announce that the Guest Services Department in partnership with the Hawthorne Hotel, will once again be hosting our "A Cup for Kindness" program.  This is our fourth year running this program which benefits the Salem Food Pantry.

We are inviting visitors and staff to bring in a nonperishable food donation from now until December 21st.    Participants will receive a voucher for a complimentary cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate from our Atrium Café.  Donations may be brought to the Admissions Desk where donors will receive a hot beverage voucher which is valid through December 31, 2013.

As we fill our box with donations, The Guest Services Staff will make deliveries to the Salem Food Pantry.

Please spread the word.

I hope you can assist with this worthy cause.  Hawthorne Catering, which runs the Atrium Cafe at PEM is happy to provide the cups of complimentary hot beverages to all participants, as we assist the less fortunate people of this area.  Remember you do NOT need to pay admission to participate in this effort, nor to eat in the Atrium Cafe or Garden Restaurant.
