Hotel Notes
Join us for a Fundraiser for Typhoon Haiyan victims.  Taking place on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 from 6pm-9pm at the Hawthorne Hotel.  Enjoy hors d’oeuvres by the chefs at the Hawthorne Hotel, and entertainment by The Ward Eights Band and DJ Patrick Runne.  All proceeds from this event will go to the American Red Cross to support disaster recovery and relief efforts in response to this tragedy. 
 Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door.  Call 978-825-4358 to purchase tickets or for more information.

Friday, November 29th from 6:30pm-7:00pm at Lappin Park (Corner of Washington Street and Essex Street)
Come to Lappin Park (where the Bewitched statue is located) for the Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony.

On November 29, 1929, American explorer Richard Byrd and three companions make the first flight over the South Pole, flying from their base on the Ross Ice Shelf to the pole and back in 18 hours and 41 minutes.
