Fall is Winding Down

Without a doubt, this has been one of the loveliest "fall" seasons I have experienced in my 15 years living and working in Salem.  I just have to share some photos that I took today.

The first two are at the Salem Armory Park at the Salem Visitors Center located on the corner of Essex and New Liberty Streets, just one block from the Hawthorne Hotel.

I loves how the leaves were piled up on the stone bench, looking like newly fallen snow -- a snow of freshly fallen leaves.

These beautiful flowering pear trees (I think) are located at the corner of Lynde and Summer Streets, about a 10 minute walk from the Hotel, toward the historic McIntire district of Salem.

I hope you enjoy seeing our beautiful city in its glorious fall colors.  And of course, I hope to see you here, whether checking in, or dining in Nathaniel's or stopping by for a beverage (adult or otherwise) in our Tavern, with fireplace crackling.  We are waiting for you.
