Best-Dressed Halloween Hotel Room

For many years now, John Marsicano and Karen McCory have stayed with us here at the Hawthorne Hotel over the entire Halloween season, generally spending over two weeks here.  They adore Halloween, and from the beginning they started decorating their room with their favorite Halloween items that they brought here from home.

Over time their collection of Halloween-abilia grew and grew, and now it takes an entire panel truck to bring everything up here from their home in New Jersey. The first time I got to see their room all decorated up I could not believe my eyes.  Over the years since that time I have blogged about it most years because so many of our guests want to see it, but feel a little embarrassed about their curiosity.

Because much of this has been seen on our blogs prior, I tried to focus my photography this year on all the "new" things they have obtained since last year.  I hope you enjoy taking a look around this very cool hotel room.

The following photos are so you can see more of an overview of their room:

Here are John and Karen presiding over their Halloween kingdom, 2013:

Karen made these cute pillows.  If you want some for yourself, email me and I will put you in touch with her.  She will happily take orders for these darling handmade items.
This little mini-pillow is something that Karen also made.  We will be selling these at the Hawthorne Hotel next October, and possibly through our on-line gift shop even sooner.
I hope you enjoy this insiders' look at a very special room!

BTW, in case you were wondering, John does a very careful job of putting everything up and taking it all down.  When they leave you would never know that decor like this lined the walls of this room.

I hope to see you here.
