The Kick-Off to Haunted Happenings -- Grand Parade

This week, on Thursday night, is the kick-off in #SalemMA to the festivities we call Haunted Happenings. That event is the Grand Parade, put on each year by the awesome Salem Chamber of Commerce.

Thousands of people line the streets of Salem to watch another thousand or so people, mainly children, march in a huge parade through the streets of Salem. The event kicks off from Shetland Park at 27 Congress Street here in Salem.

From tiny little elementary school children, through high school marching bands, there are children of all ages.  In addition you will see the local Lawn Chair Brigade performers, Ghost Busters and real Witches, and every imaginable costume, all showing off the fact that Salem is the Halloween Capital of the World.

The parade ends, conveniently for our guests, right in the Salem Common.

By the way, this year the "Mayor's Night Out" Trick-or-Treating in Downtown Salem takes place on Friday night.

I hope to see you here.
