Hawthorne Hotel Recognizes Its Staff

Each month we select two different members of our team to receive the Employee of the Month Award, one for Full-time and one for Part-time.  While we know many other companies in the world do these same kind of recognition events, we of course think our employees are more special than the average.

Yesterday we recognized one of the super-stars of a great team -- Ana Jerez, who was elected to be our Full-time Employee of the Month for July.  Ana is a member of our culinary team, and a strong backbone to it.  She cooks for the Tavern, for Nathaniel's and for the Garden Restaurant at PEM.  She also helps to prepare banquets.  There is literally no job in the kitchen that Ana has not done.

The month of July saw a confluence of events that caused a severe shortage of culinary team members for us, and Ana stepped up to the plate in a huge way to help make sure that everything went perfectly out to our guests.  For that reason and many others, Ken O'Keefe, our Acting Executive Chef, nominated Ana for her contributions.
