Rainy Saturday Things to Do in Salem

So it is going to rain on Saturday June 8 here in #SalemMA.  So what!  There are so many things to do that you will be hard-pressed to choose.  Here is a sampling:

1.  Go see the new exhibit at PEM.  Here is a fabulous review of it from the Boston Globe:

In Conversation: Modern African American Art

2.  Participate in the Salem Arts Festival.  It is FREE.  Things don't get better than this.  Here is a link to their website.

3.  Go to the movies at Cinema Salem.  Best popcorn in all of movie-dom with real butter if you want it!  Excellent selection of teas.  Fresca.  Other unusual treats you don't find at other theaters.  Two hours of free parking in the covered parking garage (be sure to bring your ticket to the counter to get your "stamps" for this.)  Last but hardly least, I believe these are the lowest ticket prices for miles in any direction, for first run, terrific movies.  Here is the link to my blog post listing this week's schedule:

4.  Come to lunch in the Tavern, or either of the restaurants at PEM (no need to pay admission if you simply wish to eat there.)  Here is a link to our dining page of our website for menus:

I hope to see you at one of these places, rain or shine!
