Don't Miss When Visiting Salem

Here is a link to our Travel's with Nathaniel Blog post written by Linda Orlomoski for us.  There are lots of great photos on it, which you should not miss.

Travels with Nathaniel's Visits the Beauport Sleeper-McCann House

The beautiful Beauport, Sleeper-McCann House has opened for the season in Gloucester and should be on your list of places you MUST see this summer! For further information, check out their Facebook page or their Historic New England website (Click on this Link to Beauport-Sleeper McCann House) where you can find answers to all of your FAQs and take a look at their Events Calendar which includes a "Voyage Into Vodka" lecture which is followed by a taste of Beauport Vodka produced by Gloucester's own Ryan and Wood Distillery on Saturday, June 29, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Guided tours are available on the hour with the last tour at 4 p.m. Come see this eclectic house on the Gloucester Harbor.

I hope you have a chance to see this great site, located only 25 minutes from Salem.

  1. Beauport is truly one of the North Shore's hidden gems and one of the best examples of architectural adaptive reuse anywhere; I would highly recommend a visit to anyone with or without a miniature traveling companion!

I've not had a chance to take one yet but the "Nooks and Crannies" tour gives visitors a more up-close and behind-the-scenes look at the house giving one a chance to see a lot of the house that isn't included on a regular house tour. I'm rather hoping I can get back up to Gloucester to take one this year before the season ends.
