SATURDAY | APRIL 27, 2013 | 10am – 2pm
Experience a museum in a whole new way with Slow Art Day at the Peabody Essex Museum (PEM).  On Saturday, April 27, PEM joins more than 200 organizations worldwide in inviting visitors to take their time and take a closer look at art.  Championed by Michael Kimmelman, chief art critic at the New York Times, Slow Art Day is part of a grassroots movement that encourages people to take a break from their busy lives and delve deeply into select works of art, enhancing critical thinking through the act of careful looking.

This Day in History:
On April 13, 1997, 21-year-old Tiger Woods wins the prestigious Masters Tournament by a record 12 strokes in Augusta, Georgia. It was Woods' first victory in one of golf's four major championships–the U.S. Open, the British Open, the PGA Championship, and the Masters–and the greatest performance by a professional golfer in more than a century.

I hope to see you here!
