Today is the final day to enjoy Salem Spring Restaurant Week, featuring the best local cuisine at value pricing. Our fine dining restaurant, Nathaniel’s, will be offering a Three-Course Dinner for $25 tonight. Come on in and visit the #1 Salem Restaurant on TripAdvisor to celebrate this special event. The Dinner includes one soup, salad or appetizer, one demi-portion entrée and one dessert, all from Nathaniel’s current menu.
Tonight local restaurant 43 Church will be hosting “The Session,” a night of unique local music, food, drink and art! This event begins at 8:30pm and as always it is free to attend.
Be sure to visit the
Peabody Essex Museum
on Saturday, April 6 for Sensational India, a festival celebrating the
creativity and dynamism of contemporary India. This event runs from 10am to

On this day in 1776, Juan Bautista de Anza, one of the great pathfinders of the 18th century, arrives at the future site of
San Francisco with 247 colonists. Though
little known among Americans because of his Spanish origins, Anza's
accomplishments as a trailblazer merit comparison with those of Lewis and Clark.
