This Day in History:
On this day in 1943, Bobby Fischer, the only American ever to win the chess world championship, was born in Chicago, IL. Raised in Brooklyn, New York, by his mother, Fischer was introduced to chess at the age of six. In 1956, he won the U.S. chess championship at the age of 14, making him the youngest champion in American history.

I hope to see you here!
