Hotel Notes

The Hawthorne Hotel would like to Congratulate Roisin O’Brien and Eric Avidon on their wedding today! We are very glad to be a part of your special day and we hope that you and your guests have a wonderful time!

Cold weather putting a damper on your holiday cheer?  Stop by our pub style restaurant, Tavern on the Green, and order our festive cocktail of the week, Cookies for Rudolph.  With Pinnacle Vanilla vodka, white crème de cocoa, gingerbread liqueur, and chilled apple cider, served martini-style with a cinnamon-sugar rim and a maraschino cherry for the nose, its sure to light the way to a merry mood!

The Garden Restaurant at the Peabody Essex Museum is now open year round, Wednesday through Sunday from 11:30AM-2:30PM. For reservations call 978-745-9500 ext. 3118.

This Day in History: On December 22, 1956, little Colo became the first gorilla born in captivity at the Columbus Zoo in Ohio. Colo weighed 4 pounds at the time of her birth and is still alive today.

I hope to see you here!
