Halloween Party -- Solstice of Souls

What is a great party without great party food?  Not much, so here is just a hint of what our chefs have in store for those of you who are coming to our Annual Costume Party on Saturday night:

Our chefs are pulling out all the stops to make sure you are well-fed and have a great time, with yummy  things like passed shrimp cocktail, black and blue sirloin canapes, and New England-style Shrimp Salad Rolls.   Near the end of the evening we will be passing mini-sweets, like white-chocolate pretzel-bones, cheesecake lollipops, mini eclairs and cream puffs, fruit gushers and Halloween petit fours.

The ancient civilizations of Solstice of Souls will be represented in the different rooms.  We will have an Aztec Buffet in the Ballroom, Lost Atlantis in the Library, Ancient India in the Essex Room, and China in Nathaniel's.

In addition to those, the list of passed and stationed chafing dish hors d'oeuvres is huge, encompassing the following and more!

Butternut Squash Tartlets
Chicken Empanadas
Chicken Marsala Pot Pie
Sesame Chicken
Cozy Shrimp
Balsamic Fig Flatbread
Scallops wrapped in Bacon
Fried Shrimp wrapped in Potato Strings (the Mummy!)
Vegetable Spring Rolls
Italian Meatballs
Thai Money Bags
Mac n' Cheese Bites
Poblano Pepper Bites
Mini Chicken Cordon Bleu
Pigs in a Blanket
Jalapeno Poppers
Mushroom Arancini
Sweet Potato Tots
Pork Chipotle Masa Cakes
Sausage Arancini
Buffalo Chicken Meatballs
Julienne Zucchini Fritter with Feta Tomatoes
Seared Tuna Wasabi Crisps
Smoked Salmon Canapes

The party includes three floors of entertainment -- a live and large band in the Grand Ballroom, HUSH, and DJs in the Library and Sophia's for non-stop dancing and partying, two photo stations so you can pose and preen for our cameras in your very cool costumes, $1,500 in prizes for the costume contest, souvenir tee-shirts and a surprise gift when you leave.

This is the largest, longest-running, best costume party in all of Salem on this biggest Halloween weekend of the year.  Don't miss it.
