Ethical Recycling Event and a Meal Deal at the Hawthorne Hotel

From our friends at CinemaSalem.

We wanted to let you know about a fun collaboration event between CinemaSalem and Ethical Electronics Recycling, that will allow you to win CinemaSalem gift cards just by responsibly recycling your old electronics. Just think: you'll be cleaning your house or office of old stuff and getting money to see great films at CinemaSalem!

Here's the scoop: The event will be next Saturday and Sunday, August 11 and 12 from 9am to 12 noon, rain or shine. The location will be Captain Dusty's Ice Cream, 143 Derby Street in Salem. Just bring in your old electronics, which will be weighed and responsibly recycled for an Ethical Recycling Fee of $1 per pound.

Here are the perks: Everyone who recycles 50 or more pounds is eligible for a free Captain Dusty's ice cream or a $5 CinemaSalem gift card! Everyone who recycles over 100 pounds is eligible for both!

Finally, here's a list of what to bring: almost anything with a battery or a plug, including: TVs, CRTs, monitors, computers, telephones, laptops, keyboards, drives, cables, cords, any computer peripherals, all kinds of marine electronics, e-readers like Kindle and Nook, copiers, printers, fax machines, scanners, laptops, stereo equipment, speakers, CD & DVD players, iPods, iPads, iPhones, MP3 players, remotes, VCR's, projectors, all kinds of still and video cameras, PDAs, radios and radio equipment, answering machines, camcorders, typewriters, game systems, games, pagers, fans, vacuums, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, air conditioners, microwave ovens, toasters, blenders, small "dorm-room style" refrigerators, power tools, ink cartridges, toner cartridges, USB media, CDs, DVDs, cassette tapes, 8-track tapes, Zip Disks, video tapes, audio tapes, and floppy diskettes. Filing cabinets and office furniture are okay, too. Cell phones are accepted at no charge.

The only electronics not accepted are hazardous materials of any kind. If you have any questions or want to arrange for something to be picked up, just call Christopher at 617 233-4120.

After you get done recycling, since you will be in the neighborhood, stop by Nathaniel's for breakfast or the Tavern for Lunch.  Mention that you participated in this event, and we will give you a complimentary non-alcoholic beverage with your meal.

I hope to see you here.
