"All Shook Up"

I was privileged to be able to attend the Preview Night for the current offering at the North Shore Music Theatre.  It is a production of "All Shook Up", produced by Bill Hanney, who says of it: "This show is packed full of the unforgettable music of Elvis Presley used to tell a brand-new story in a retro 1950s-styled farce written by Joe DiPietro.  . . . Joe has cleverly married The King's music with a zany, gender-bending Shakespearean-inspired love story and created a hilarious musical with a modern comic sensibility."

Here are some photos of scenes from this great high-energy production:

Eric Hatch as Dean Hyde with Laquet Sharnell as Lorraine

Paul Sabala as Dennis with Dara Hartman as Natalie

"Jailhouse Rock" from the opening scene

John Hillner as Jim Haller, Natalie's Father and Jannie Jones as Sylvia

Dara Hartman as "Ed" and Ryan Overberg as Chad
On a personal note, I loved the performances of Jannie Jones as Sylvia, and Dara Hartman as Natalie Haller/Ed.

I hope you have the opportunity to see this show which will be playing through August 26.  For more information and tickets go to or call 978-232-7200.
