Amber Miller Receives Award

On Thursday we honored one of our part-time employees with the similarly named award for the outstanding employee during the month of March.  Her name is Amber Miller, and she is a member of our culinary team, working for us part-time, both in our offsite division and here at the Hawthorne Hotel.

As is our wont, the managers who were available all wandered into the kitchen where Amber was working to surprise her with her award.  She was surprised and delighted as you can see from these photos.

 But nothing made her happier than the joke she shared with Chef Steve Nelson and Offsite Chef Rhiannon Nowak, as you can see in the photo above.
 While we were lining up for the formal photos in the lobby, Claire Kallelis finally made it out of the kitchen and into the lobby to join us (she recently broke her foot and is on crutches.)  During this time Chef Steve was horsing around as you can see in the photo above.
