Fellow Blogger Writes of Hawthorne Experience

A recent guest of the Hawthorne Hotel writes a blog called "Are we there yet?" about her travels. She recently stayed at the Hawthorne Hotel, and wrote in great detail about her experience. In addition, she took lots and lots of really nice photos.

There is really nothing better than a first-hand account of a visit to a hotel like this one. She and her daughter even ordered and photographed their room service breakfast. How terrific is that? By the way, did you know we are the ONLY hotel in Salem that offers a full room service menu?

Here is a link to her post:

Please join me in congratulating this blogger on a job well done!

  1. Linda really needs to be scooped up by a travel magazine. She's an awesome travel-photo journalist and has done a good many posts about the greater New England area and wherever else her travels take her! She always makes me wish I were there! You should read some of her history posts! In fact, why don't you?!

Your hotel looks lovely! Since one of my 3 SisterDears lives practically next door in Beverly, we just may book ourselves a few rooms one day!

  2. We would love to have you. If you are a friend of Linda's, be sure to ask for me when you make your reservation so I can do something special for you for your visit to the Hawthorne Hotel.

    Kind regards,

    Juli Lederhaus
    General Manager

  3. It was my pleasure to not only write that post but to have had the chance to stay at the Hawthorne so that it COULD written be it!

I am very much looking forward to my return trip to Salem and your hotel! It will be a real pleasure to meet you, Juli, and experience all of the excellence that the Hawthorne has to offer. I'm thinking room service again is most definitely in order and I can't wait to see how you decorate for the holidays!

  4. Ooooohhh, that's right! You will be here during the prime holiday decorating time. Our pointsettia tree and all the pointsettias in the lobby, and the wreaths on all the windows. I hope we have a little dusting of snow on the common for you.

  5. Just a dusting please! I'm a history lover but not so much a snow lover! Still, what's Christmas time in New England without a little bit of the cold and fluffy white stuff??
