Yet Another Aspect of Art and Culture (and WINE!) in Salem, MA

We are so fortunate, here in Salem, MA to have such a broad range of things to do. Here is yet another example, which is being put on by one of our favorite people, Jim McAllister. If you have never heard Jim speak, you really owe it to yourself to attend this event. He is so entertaining, interesting, and just fun!

"Sam Chamberlain at Home and Abroad"
Lecture and Wine-tasting
At Pamplemousse
Tuesday, March 2 from 7:30-9 p.m.

Join Jim McAllister as he chronicles the life, achievements and work of Sam Chamberlain, printmaker, photographer, world traveler, writer and gourmand.

Before moving to Marblehead in the mid-1930s, Chamberlain spent nearly a decade and half exploring the architecture, culture, and food and wine of Europe. Those travels, and his American later experiences, are chronicled in the more than 80 books he “authored” or “co-authored” in his lifetime. Included in his output are a number of books, some produced in conjunction with his beloved wife “Biscuit”, related to the gastronomy and wines of Europe.

On the subject of wine: patrons will be given the opportunity to sample a number of wines from European stops on Chamberlain's extended "Grand Tour".

The program will run from 7:30-9 at Pamplemousse, corner of Essex Street Mall and Central Street in Salem.

Tickets $20. Space is limited so please sign up early at Pamplemousse or at
