Ana Jerez Named Employee of the Month, Hawthorne Hotel, October 2009
Ana Jerez works as a line cook for us, both here at the Hawthorne Hotel, as well as in our offsite catering division at the Peabody Essex Museum. We surprised her in her work space in the Hawthorne Hotel kitchen on Tuesday afternoon.
Ana is such fun to be around, as you can see in these photos. But more than that, she is a loyal, dedicated, and hard-working part of our TEAM here. We love our association with her! As I made my presentation to her, she kept saying over and over again how much she loves to come to work here.
For her extra efforts, Ana received gift certificate for Dinner for Two in our Nathaniel's Restaurant (our fine-dining restaurant), as well as a day off with pay. She was very pleased, as you can see in the photo above.

When Ana thought I was all done taking photos, she broke out laughing, and I caught this great shot of Ana as we really know her.
If you ever eat at the Hawthorne Hotel, especially in the afternoon/evening, you probably have enjoyed something that Ana has cooked.
