Manners Matter, Especially in Business

As a manager who interviews managers, I am often appalled at how often candidates, who seem perfectly good otherwise, do not have very basic knowledge of manners and etiquette. It does color my viewpoint of those candidates, and I often find myself in a situation where that one thing can be the tipping point in my decision-making.

In speaking with someone at a business meeting recently, it seems that there are many instances where people simply do not know what to do, because they never had the opportunity to learn.

If that is you, then we have just the thing to set you on the right course.

"As humans we are social by nature. Our abilities in other areas are generalized based upon our social behaviors. Individuals who are comfortable with social graces experience the best success ... Whether you are interviewing for a new position, building your business or seeking new social relationships, etiquette and manners matter."
- Jodi Smith
