Nathaniel Hawthorne Shakes off the Snow

Over the past ten days or so we have had unseasonably mild weather here in Salem, Massachusetts. So mild, in fact, that I played golf on Saturday, in temperatures that approached 60. It felt good, and weird at the same time.

Yesterday our winter came back, and dumped several inches of snow on us here on the North Shore.

Here is a photo of our namesake, Nathaniel Hawthorne's statue, with those inches of snow in evidence. He does appear to be ignoring the weather.

I hope you'll ignore it also, and come to Salem for a visit. Our fireplace is crackling in the Tavern, and our Artful Teapot package is a great value, as well as being something that is just fun to do.

See you soon?
