The 'BAD GIRLS' Enjoy Their Pink High Tea
I know I shouldn't, but I do -- have favorite guests that is. One of the most fun Hawthorne Hotel guests ever is Maryann Curtain, and today's blog is meant to introduce you to her and her band of BAD GIRLS.
Maryann and her friends, Mary Fran Coyne, Elizabeth Pezaris, Carolyn Purtell and Bonnie Wheeler started an informal group many, many years ago. They call themselves the BAD GIRLS. They started as a group of women doing what women did years ago, celebrating weddings, babies, birthdays and the like. Then came the celebrations of the un-weddings, and the children flying the nest, and now they get together to celebrate each other, and the solidarity of women.
On April 10 they held what they called a PINK HIGH TEA in the Ballroom of the Hawthorne Hotel. As part of the event, they donated money to the Dana Farber Cancer Center, in honor of the women in their group who have fought, or are fighting, cancer.
We thought so much of what lengths they went to in order to theme their fun event, that we took photos and asked permission to post them on our BLOG for the Hawthorne Hotel.
I hope you enjoying seeing their event as much as I have enjoyed getting to know Maryann, a good neighbor, and wonderful customer.
